Our Commitment to Accessibility at Preventx
Accessibility is at the heart of how we design and deliver our digital services. We're committed to creating inclusive experiences for everyone, including people with disabilities. To achieve this, we're embedding accessibility into every stage of our design, development, and delivery processes.
Accessibility for Everyone
We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website with ease and confidence. We're committed to designing and maintaining a digital experience that works for everyone, regardless of their access needs or the technology they use.
This means you should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts using your browser or assistive tools
- Zoom in up to 400% without content spilling off the screen or becoming difficult to navigate
- Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- Resize text without loss of functionality or readability
- Access all interactive elements with accessible labels and logical tab order

What We’re Doing
We have adopted tools and guidance from the NHS Digital Service Manual, shaped by extensive testing and best practices. This ensures our teams build services that meet WCAG 2.2 level AA standards — the accessibility benchmark set by Preventx.
Accessibility is a Shared Responsibility
We believe accessible services are the result of effective collaboration. That’s why we’re:
- Considering accessibility from the very beginning of every project
- Making accessibility a shared responsibility across all disciplines
What We're Improving
We’re actively addressing issues highlighted in our accessibility audits and user feedback. Our ongoing improvements include:
- Prioritising accessibility fixes in all new and existing development work
- Collaborating with suppliers to enhance the accessibility of third-party tools and platforms
- Providing accessibility training and guidance for our teams
- Incorporating accessibility checks into our continuous integration (CI) pipelines
- Reviewing language and content for clarity and plain English
- Developing internal accessibility champions to embed best practice across teams
We know accessibility is not a one-time fix. It's an ongoing journey — and we're committed to getting better every day
