Can I use the service if I do not speak English?

Answer

To use SHL we ask that service users have good command of the English language and to not ask another person to register for an account and complete your consultation /kit order on your behalf. This is to ensure that the correct kit is ordered and the right tests are performed according to your individual needs, to ensure you understand your results and know how to access treatment or further testing if required, and also (if we have concerns) so we can check your safety in a confidential manner. If you feel you will struggle with these requirements then we advise you attend your local sexual health clinic where interpreters can be used. Unfortunately we do not offer an interpreter service at SHL.
