Ordering your test kit FAQs

I ordered a test but it’s not arrived?

All of our test kits are sent first class postage (Royal Mail) and should arrive within 1-3 working days. However, there are sometimes delays in the postal system and during seasonal periods test kits may take longer to arrive. If your kit has not arrived within 5 days please let us know and we will issue a replacement kit.

I have lost my kit what can I do?

Let us know if you have misplaced your test kit and we can send you a replacement kit.

I can’t get enough blood what shall I do?

We put several helpful tips on the sample collection instructions to advise you on the best way to collect your sample and we also include three lancets so you can try a different finger if you’re struggling to collect a sample. If you are still struggling to collect a sample we can issue another kit should you want to attempt a second time.

We’re aware that collecting a finger-prick blood sample can be challenging and for some people this is not achievable, in these instances we recommend that you visit your local GUM clinic where a full venous blood draw can be taken for testing.

Why can’t I order a test kit?

We are only able to offer testing to eligible patients in certain areas of London. The following areas are excluded: Hillingdon, Hounslow, Sutton, Croydon, Greenwich, and Barking and Dagenham. For areas outside of London sexual health services are listed on NHS choices.

The service is also very popular and therefore we sometimes have to place limits on the number of tests we can provide each day.

Are the test kits in discreet packaging?

Yes, all of our test kits are discreetly packaged in opaque poly bags that include the address and postage on. Kits are sent first class post (Royal Mail) and the kit will fit through a standard letter box.
